Aérea y Defensa Antiaérea de Nicaragua. Pero para llegar a la Fundación hay que caminar trechos, obstáculos, hacer sobresfuerzos, hasta que al fin se instala, hace 46 años, la Fuerza Aérea y Defensa Antiaérea de Nicaragua.
Tuvimos una Fuerza Aérea en los momentos en que estábamos luchando contra la Dictadura Somocista, contra la Tiranía Somocista. Ellos tenían una poderosa Fuerza Aérea, tenían medios antiaéreos; o sea, ¿qué tenía en ese momento el Frente Sandinista, ¿qué tenía, para poder empezar a poner la semillita donde luego surgiría potente la Fuerza Aérea de Nicaragua?
En esos tiempos en que batallábamos contra la Tiranía, era una relación totalmente desigual, ellos eran una Fuerza monstruosa y nosotros éramos el Pueblo con el Alma batallando e improvisando; pero al Compañero Paul Atha se le ocurrió que prestáramos o alquiláramos algunos aviones, y ahí logramos reunir tres aviones, tres aviones no de combate, eran tres aviones para transportar armas a los diferentes Departamentos de Nicaragua. Incluso, contratamos a un Hermano panameño que era un tremendo piloto, y ahí estábamos dando el combate del Pueblo, ahí estaba naciendo, ahí estaban saliendo las raíces de la que luego sería la Fuerza Aérea de Nicaragua.
En una ocasión, recuerdo bien, decidimos pasarle lanzando unas bombas a la Presidencia donde estaba Somoza, y ahí los pilotos, muy valientes, iban dos pilotos, el panameño y un nicaragüense, salieron y de repente empezaron a lanzar bombas sobre la Presidencia. Aquello fue un escándalo, una alarma para la Guardia Somocista, ya les parecía que veníamos con una gran flota de aviones. Pero fue una hazaña, una hazaña que ponía a prueba el Valor, el Patriotismo, el Amor a la Paz, que hemos tenido y teníamos los nicaragüenses.
Ahora que veníamos a la Conmemoración de este 46 Aniversario, el General Avilés y el Jefe de la Fuerza Aérea nos sorprendieron con este regalo. Cualquiera diría, si lo ve así, que es un juguetito para niños… ¡Sí, un juguetito para niños!
Esta fue un arma de combate, con dimensiones lógicamente mayores. Esta fue una Cooperación que nos brindó la Unión Soviética, para que con este tipo de medios que ellos lo usaban allá; claro, allá tenían medios antiaéreos poderosísimos, pero nos aportaron, y cómo esto nos ayudó, nos protegió, para ahuyentar y derrotar a la Fuerza Aérea de los Estados Unidos. Porque era la Fuerza Aérea de los Estados Unidos la que nos estaba haciendo la guerra en esos tiempos.
Sólo acordémonos del famoso avión, el Pájaro Negro, un avión que no lo tenía cualquier País y que nos los tiraban todas las noches aquí. Entonces, cuando ya se tenía idea a qué hora más o menos pasaba el Pájaro Negro, entonces este camión, porque este no era un camioncito, era un camión, y no era un farolito, era un tremendo farol, estaba a oscuras esperando que pasara el Pájaro Negro. En lo que venía el Pájaro Negro, se le prendían las luces y el Pájaro Negro tenía que buscar para dónde coger, pensando que ya se le atacaba.
De esa manera se lograron derrotar embestidas que tenía la Fuerza Aérea de los Estados Unidos, con estas luces, con las luces. Porque en la noche todo es que vieran las luces, y es normal, en las batallas aéreas la luz es un elemento determinante para que acepte la batalla el que está viendo ya. O salga huyendo. ¡Y aquí salieron huyendo!
Este es un agradecimiento que le tenemos nosotros a la Unión Soviética. La Unión Soviética, donde se produjo la Primera Revolución del Pueblo en el Mundo, la Unión Soviética, con Lenin a la cabeza, y lograron instalar el Primer Estado Popular Campesino, Socialista, en el Mundo, para beneficio de los pobres, para barrer con el hambre, con la miseria. Y nosotros no podemos olvidar, en una fecha como esta, la Solidaridad Fraterna de la Unión Soviética con la Revolución Popular Sandinista.
La Lucha hoy en el Mundo es la misma de aquella gran novela de León Tolstói… Tolstói, fíjense hace cuántos años, él era un gran visionario y cuando escribió esa novela le puso “La Guerra y la Paz”, así, con toda firmeza, y va describiendo, va describiendo, “La Guerra y la Paz”, y va describiendo guerras y va describiendo momentos de Paz, y vuelve la guerra y vuelve la Paz.
Él observaba que la Humanidad, desgraciadamente, se debatía entre la Guerra y la Paz y que las
víctimas de ese confrontamiento eran los Pobres, eran los Pueblos, eran los Campesinos, los Trabajadores, los Jóvenes.
Hace cuántos años se escribió “La Guerra y la Paz”, de Tolstói, y cuántos años han pasado y cuántas guerras han explotado por el Mundo, y no termina de acabar una guerra cuando ya está la otra guerra. ¿Y qué es lo que convierte a los hombres que conducen esas guerras, que promueven esas guerras? El Poder. Quieren ser los dueños del Mundo, quieren ser los amos del Mundo, quieren que se les subordinen todos los Países, quieren tener un Mundo de esclavos.
Aun cuando ya parecía que la esclavitud desaparecía, el colmo fue que aquí en Nicaragua, en 1855, cuando vinieron los yanquis filibusteros con William Walker, y que se nombró Presidente William Walker y lo reconocieron como Presidente a Walker allá en los Estados Unidos.
Nicaragua se había independizado, por fin, de los colonialistas españoles en el año 1821… 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, apenas 10 años, y Nicaragua, un País pequeñito, sin grandes riquezas, más que el Coraje del Pueblo, vienen y cuando se declara la Independencia de Centroamérica, porque ya los españoles habían sido derrotados por Bolívar, habían sido
derrotados en México, y también ya no podían seguir manteniendo como Colonias a Centroamérica.
Entonces, en esos momentos, imagínense, de 1821 a 1855, ahí nomás, ¿a cuál País escogieron los Imperialistas para ocuparlo y, a la vez, ser dueños del País, ser los Presidentes en el País, ser dueños de las rutas canaleras? Escogieron a Nicaragua, pensando posiblemente que Nicaragua era un País de gente humilde, gente sencilla, campesina, que no iba a aguantar, que no iban a poder resistir, que no iban a poder pelear y mucho menos derrotar a los yanquis invasores.
Y ahí lo primero que hizo, en 1821, Centroamérica cuando se libera del yugo español, como había por Ley de los Reyes, había aquí en Centroamérica, existía la esclavitud, entonces somos independientes y lo primero que hicieron los Líderes Independistas centroamericanos fue, ¡No más esclavitud! ¡Abolir la esclavitud en el año 1821!
Pero apenas unos años después, en el año 1855, cuando invaden los yanquis, lo primero que hace el autollamado Presidente de Nicaragua, William Walker, es instaurar la esclavitud. Eso era para que cualquiera se rindiera, se aterrorizara, huyera. Pero no. Aquí lo que hizo el Pueblo fue unirse, aquí lo que hizo fue unirse los mestizos con los indígenas de Matagalpa, y ahí se formó un Ejército, con armas que no eran tan poderosas como las de los yanquis.
Y con esas armas entre la que destaca más es la Piedra de Andrés Castro, unidos los Indios de Matagalpa, es decir, la raíz indígena no la pudieron acabar, no la pudieron matar los españoles. La tenían sometida, le impusieron lenguas, le impusieron religiones, pero ahí adentro estaba el Orgullo Indígena, la Resistencia Indígena; la Resistencia de Diriangén que derrotó a los españoles en la primera embestida que hicieron ellos aquí en Nicaragua.
Y esa Fortaleza, esa Mística, esas Raíces no pudieron destruirlas los españoles matando a miles de Campesinos, convirtiéndolos en esclavos, en las famosas Encomiendas. ¡No pudieron! Ahí estaba adentro la Rebeldía, estaba ahí la Fortaleza, y por esa razón es que logran en Nicaragua, en el año 1855, logran “los chapiollos” como diríamos ahora, logran unirse los Campesinos, logran unirse los Trabajadores, logran unirse los Indígenas, sin más armas que el Corazón, la Conciencia, la Fortaleza, la Dignidad.
Porque la Dignidad no se puede matar, la Dignidad no se puede erradicar, y toda esa Fortaleza que estaba ahí acumulada derrotó a los yanquis, y sufrieron los yanquis la primera derrota en América, fue la primera derrota que sufrieron en América.
Todos Ustedes, Compañer@s de la Fuerza Aérea y Defensa Antiaérea, están hechos de ese barro, están hechos de ese acero.
¿Cuántos nicaragüenses murieron solo en la etapa de la lucha contra Somoza y después de la lucha contra la Intervención yanqui que encabezó Ronald Reagan? Más de 100,000 nicaragüenses. Y aunque los Combatientes veían caer a un Compañero no huían, seguían combatiendo, y por eso fue posible que con el Alma, la Fortaleza de los Hermanos, Cachorros entonces, Soldados del Ejército, se logró en una guerra, fíjense bien, fue una guerra de 10 años enfrentados a los Estados Unidos, con el Presidente de los Estados Unidos amenazando, armando, entrenando, agrediendo, y al final fueron derrotados, al final de los 10 años.
Y 10 años antes, en la lucha que encabezó el Frente Sandinista contra la Tiranía Somocista, ahí fueron más de 50,000 los Hermanos nicaragüenses muertos, y eso lo que pone a prueba es que, la Conciencia, el Valor, son armas más poderosas que los cañones, que los fusiles.
Y, en este día, en esta tarde, felicitamos y saludamos a todos los Hermanos que están en su 46 Aniversario de la Fuerza Aérea; saludamos, abrazamos, con todo el Amor, a las Familias que los han acompañado durante todo este período y les dan Fortaleza, les dan Ánimo, les dan Amor, y ya sabemos que el Amor és más Poderoso que el Odio, el Amor al final vence al Odio, y aquí nosotros seguimos luchando por la Paz.
Por eso, el Himno del Frente Sandinista como sabe, supo leer “La Guerra y la Paz”, tenemos que estar siempre repitiéndolo, que, para defender la Paz, para que tengamos Paz, tenemos que tener Fortaleza, tenemos que tener Espíritu de Combate, no porque nos guste combatir, sino porque la Historia en el Mundo nos sigue indicando que estamos entre la Guerra y la Paz. Y si queremos defender la Paz, tenemos que estar siempre preparados para la guerra.
Hoy concluyo con buenas noticias, porque para ganar la Paz hay que ganar la guerra, y ahí estamos viendo las gigantescas guerras que se están librando en el Mundo; las cobardías de cómo los Gobernantes judíos han jurado ya que van a desbaratar, van a desaparecer al Pueblo palestino.
Y cómo detrás del régimen judío está el Gobierno norteamericano, y que detrás del Gobierno norteamericano y detrás del Gobierno judío están los Países que se han preciado de ser los más democráticos en el Mundo y que conforman la OTAN. La OTAN que está preparando la guerra que piensa que le va a lograr ganar a la Unión Soviética, a la Federación Rusa.
Es decir, pensando nada más en más muertes, más guerras, y no hay realmente una Fuerza más Grande, una Fuerza más Poderosa, para ganar la Paz y vencer la Muerte, vencer las Guerras, que el Espíritu de Lucha, el Espíritu de Combate, el Espíritu de Defensa de las Familias, de la Paz de los Pueblos.
Y los Pueblos se están levantando, y los Pueblos se están levantando en todas partes del Mundo, y es ahí donde va a terminar la Guerra y se va a establecer la Paz en el Mundo. Y más aún, cuando las Potencias que antes se dedicaban nada más a disputarse territorios en África, en Asia, en América Latina y vivían en puras guerras, esas Potencias siguen con su pleito.
Pero hay dos Potencias, la Unión Soviética, que está luchando por la Paz, y la República Popular China, que está luchando por la Paz, y Nicaragua tiene dos Naciones Hermanas: La Federación de Rusia y la República Popular China, que es la mayor Potencia que hay actualmente en el Mundo y no porque ande volando tiros, no porque anden bombardeando, no porque anden provocando guerras. ¿Quién puede señalar que la República Popular China esté en una guerra tratando de desbaratar a un País, ocupar un País, robar un País? ¡Nadie!
La Federación Rusa lo que está es luchando por recuperar su País, y la Federación Rusa está dando la batalla, con toda Justicia, y estamos seguros que van a ganar, van a recuperar las tierras, los pueblos, las ciudades, todo lo que el Fascismo venía alimentando y continúa alimentando.
Y por otro lado, nuestras relaciones con la República Popular China son extraordinarias,
y en los Mensajes que nos han enviado, los leyeron los Delegados de la República Popular China en la Plaza, dejan claro que ellos van a prestarle todo tipo de ayuda a Nicaragua, incluyendo ayuda para la defensa. Lo dijeron así, con toda claridad. Lo escribieron así, con toda claridad.
Es decir, somos hoy una Nación bendecida por Dios, porque tenemos a esas grandes Naciones que solo Bienestar llevan a los Pueblos; esa Gran Nación, la República Popular China, que es el mayor poderío comercial, que es una Potencia, que es la mayor Potencia Mundial.
Les agradecemos esa disposición a cooperar con Nicaragua, y estamos seguros que con estos Hermanos, porque somos Hermanos, Pueblos Hermanos de Nicaragua, al final ya vamos a quitar del Himno del Frente, Luchar, Luchar, Luchar, Vencer, Vencer, Vencer, ya no vamos a tener que luchar en guerra, porque ya estará la Paz en nuestras Tierras y estará la Paz en el Mundo.
¡Que Viva la Solidaridad, la Cooperación de la República Popular China!
La República Popular China fue la que desarrolló la Revolución más gigantesca que ha habido en el Mundo; la Unión Soviética también, pero claro, la República Popular China por sus dimensiones, por la cantidad de Pueblos, de Regiones que tenían no era tarea fácil hacer ahí la Revolución para poder unir a esa Gran Potencia, y Mao Tse Tung lo logró, fue el genio que logró unir a la República Popular China.
Y al Presidente Putin todo nuestro agradecimiento, todo nuestro Cariño, toda nuestra Solidaridad. Somos Hermanos, sí, somos Hermanos, el Presidente Putin, el Presidente Xi Jinping, de China, y los nicaragüenses, somos Pueblos Hermanos y vamos a ganar la Paz.

Event Commemorating the 46th Anniversary
of the Foundation of the Nicaraguan Army’s Air Force and Anti-Aircraft Defense Force

Brothers and Sisters of the Air Force and Air Defense of the Nicaraguan Army, today you are celebrating the 46th Anniversary of the Founding of the Nicaraguan Air Force and Air Defense forces. But to get to that Foundation, you had to go through periods of obstacles and make superhuman efforts, so that finally, the Nicaraguan Air Force and Anti-Aircraft Defense could be established 46 years ago.
We did have an Air Force at the time when we were fighting against the Somoza Dictatorship, against the Somoza Tyranny. They had a powerful Air Force, they had anti-aircraft equipment; so really, what did the Sandinista Front have at that time, what did it have, so as to be able to start planting seeds from which the powerful Nicaraguan Air Force would later emerge?
In those times when we were fighting against Tyranny, it was a totally unequal relationship, they were a monstrous Force and we were the People with only our Soul battling and improvising; but Compañero Paul Atha came up with the idea that we might borrow or rent some planes, and so we managed to get three planes, three non-combat planes, they were three planes for transporting weapons to the different Departments of Nicaragua. We even hired a brother Panamanian, who was a tremendous pilot, and so in that way we were gave battle for the People, there was being born, there the roots were appearing of what would later become the Nicaraguan Air Force.
On one occasion, I remember very well, we decided to fly and launch some bombs at the Presidency where Somoza was, and there our pilots, very brave, our two pilots set out, the Panamanian and a Nicaraguan, they sett out and suddenly started launching bombs at the Presidency. That was a shock, an alarm for the Somoza National Guard, it then seemed to them that we had available a large fleet of airplanes. It was indeed a feat, one more feat proving the Courage, Patriotism and Love for Peace that Nicaraguans have had and had then.
Just now as we were coming to this Commemoration of the 46th Anniversary, General Aviles and the Head of the Air Force surprised us with this gift. Anyone would say, looking at this, that it is a little toy for children… Really, a little toy for children!
But this was a combat weapon, of course of a larger size. This was part of the cooperation the Soviet Union offered us, so with this type of equipment that they themselves used over there; of course, they had very powerful anti-aircraft equipment there, but they supplied us, and how much this helped us, protecting us, scaring away and overcoming the United States Air Force. Because it was the United States Air Force that was waging war on us at that time.
We have to remember that famous plane, the Black Bird, a plane no other country had and which they launched against us every night here. So then, when you had an idea at what time more or less the Black Bird was passing, then this truck, and this wasn’t a small truck, it was a large truck, and it’s searchlight was not small, it was a tremendous searchlight, and waited in the darkness for the Black Bird to pass. As soon as the Black Bird came, the lights would turn on and the Black Bird had to look for where to escape, thinking that it was under attack.
In that way, they managed to defeat the attacks of the United States Air Force, with these lights, with the searchlights. Because at night everything came down to them being in the lights, and as is normal in an air battle, illumination determines whether the one now in full view accepts the combat or flees. And here they fled!
This is a debt of thanks we owe the Soviet Union. The Soviet Union, where the First People’s Revolution took place in the World, the Soviet Union, with Lenin at its head, where they managed to install the First Peasant, Socialist People’s State in the World, for the benefit of the poor, to eradicate hunger, misery. And we cannot forget, on a date like today, the Fraternal Solidarity of the Soviet Union with the Sandinista Popular Revolution.
The struggle in the world today is the same as in that great novel by Leo Tolstoy… Tolstoy, see how many years ago, he was a great visionary and when he wrote the novel he called «War and Peace”, simply put, very firmly, and he goes on elaborating, he goes on describing, “War and Peace,” and goes on to describe wars and he goes on to describe moments of Peace, then War returns, then Peace returns…
He observed that humanity, unfortunately, has been torn between War and Peace and that the victims of this confrontation have been the Poor, have been the Peoples, the Peasants, the Workers, Youth.
How many years ago Tolstoy’s “War and Peace” was written, and so many years have passed with so many wars exploding around the world, one war doesn’t end before another war starts. And what is it that drives the men and women who conduct these wars, who promote these wars? Power. They want to be the owners of the world, they want to be the masters of the World, they want all the world’s countries to be subordinated to them, they want to have a world of slaves.
Even though back then it already seemed that slavery was disappearing, the culmination was that here in Nicaragua, in 1855, when the filibuster Yankees came with William Walker, and William Walker was named President here and Walker was recognized as President by the United States.
Nicaragua had finally gained independence from the Spanish colonialists in 1821… 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, barely 10 years, and Nicaragua, a tiny country, without great wealth, apart from the Courage of its People, the Yankees came after the Independence of Central America is declared, because the Spanish had by then been defeated by Bolívar, they had been defeated in Mexico, and thus they could no longer continue maintaining Central America as a Colony.
So, in that period, just imagine, from 1821 to 1855, just then, which Country did the Imperialists choose to occupy and, at the same time, take over the Country, become the Country’s Presidents so as to possess the Canal routes? They chose Nicaragua, possibly they thought Nicaragua was a country of humble people, simple, peasant people, who were a pushover, who were not going to be able to resist, who were not going to be able to fight, much less defeat the invading Yankees.
And back then the first thing that Central America did, in 1821, when it was freed from the Spanish yoke, under which by the Law of the Kings, slavery existed here in Central America, so then once we are independent and the first thing that the Central American Independent Leaders did was declare, No more slavery! Abolishing slavery in the year 1821!
But just a few years later, in 1855, when the Yankees invaded, the first thing the self-styled President of Nicaragua, William Walker, did was to establish slavery. That was supposed to make everyone surrender, take fright and run away. But no. Here what the People did was to unite, here what the mestizos did was to unite with the indigenous people of Matagalpa, and thus an Army was formed, albeit with weapons that were not as powerful as those of the Yankees.
And among these weapons, the one best known is the stone of Andrés Castro, united with the Indians of Matagalpa, that is to say, the indigenous roots could not be done away with, the Spanish could not kill them. They had them subdued, they imposed a language on them, they imposed a religion on them, but within there was always Indigenous Pride, Indigenous Resistance; the Resistance of Diriangén who had defeated the Spanish in their first onslaught here in Nicaragua.
And that fortitude, that mystique, those roots the Spanish could not destroy even by killing thousands of Peasants, turning them into slaves, in their notorious encomiendas. They just couldn’t! Rebellion was within, Fortitude was within, and that is why those people achieved in Nicaragua, in the year 1855, they achieved it, “the barefoots” as we might say now, the Peasants managed to unite, the Workers managed to unite, the Indigenous managed to unite, with no other weapons but Heart, Conscience, Strength and Dignity.
Because Dignity cannot be killed, Dignity cannot be eradicated, and all the Strength accumulated there defeated the Yankees, such that the Yankees suffered their first defeat in America, it was the first defeat they suffered in America.
All of you, Comrades of the Air Force and Air Defense, you are formed from that material, you are made of that steel.
How many Nicaraguans died if one counts the stage of the struggle against Somoza and then the struggle against the Yankee intervention led by Ronald Reagan? More than 100,000 Nicaraguans. But although our Combatants saw Compañeras and Compañeros fall, they did not flee, they continued fighting, and that’s why it was possible that with the Soul, the Strength of the Brothers and Sisters, the Army Cubs back then, the Soldiers of our Army, victory was achieved in a war, bear in mind it was a 10-year war facing the United States, with the President of the United States menacing, arming, training, attacking, but in the end they were defeated, after 10 years.
But 10 years earlier, in the struggle led by the Sandinista Front against the Somoza tyranny, more than 50,000 Nicaraguan Brothers and Sisters were killed, and what this proves is that Conscience and Courage are more powerful weapons than cannons and rifles.
And, today, on this afternoon, we congratulate and salute all the Brothers and Sisters on their 46th Anniversary of the Air Force; we salute, we embrace, with all our Love, the Families who have accompanied them throughout this period, giving them Strength, giving them Encouragement, giving them Love, for as we already know very well, Love is more Powerful than Hate, Love conquers Hate in the end, and here we continue striving for Peace.
That is why, as you know, the Anthem of the Sandinista Front was able to take from “War and Peace”, we have to be always repeating this, that, in order to defend Peace, for us to have Peace, we have to have Strength, we have to have Fighting Spirit, not because we want to fight, but because History in the World continues to show how we are between War and Peace. And if we want to defend Peace, we must always be prepared for War.
Today I conclude with good news, because to win the Peace you have to win the War, and in that regard we are seeing the gigantic wars now being fought in the world; the cowardice of the Zionist rulers who have now sworn that they are going to wipe out, that they are going to disappear the Palestinian People.
And there behind the Zionist regime is the US government, and behind the US government, behind the Zionist government are the Countries that puff themselves up as being the most democratic in the world, the countries that make up NATO. That NATO which is now preparing for a war that it thinks it can win against the former Soviet Union, the Russian Federation.
That is to say, they are thinking only of more death, more war, and there really is no Greater Force, no more Powerful Force, able to win Peace, overcome Death, and conquer War, than the Fighting Spirit, the Combative Spirit, the Spirit in Defense of Families, of the Peace for all Peoples.
And the world’s Peoples are rising up, the Peoples are rising up everywhere around the world, and that’s what will bring War to and end and for Peace to be established in the World. And even more so, given that the Powers which used dedicate themselves only to fighting over territories in Africa, Asia, Latin America and lived in constant war, those Powers continue with their disputes.
However, there are two Powers, the former Soviet Union, which is fighting for Peace, and the People’s Republic of China, which is also fighting for Peace, such that Nicaragua has two Sister Nations: The Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China, the greatest Power currently in the world, not because their troops are firing their weapons, not because they are dropping bombs, not because they are provoking wars. Who can point out where the People’s Republic of China is engaged in a war trying to wipe out a Country, occupy a Country or steal a Country? No one!
The Russian Federation is fighting to recover its country, and the Russian Federation is fighting the battle, defending its rights, and we are sure that they will win, they will recover the lands, the villages, the cities, everything that Fascism has been devouring and continues seeking to devour.
On the other hand, our relations with the People’s Republic of China are extraordinary, and in the messages they have sent us, read out recently by the Delegates of the People’s Republic of China in the Plaza, they make clear that they are going to provide all kinds of help to Nicaragua, including help for defense. They said as much, very clearly. They wrote as much, very clearly.
That is to say, we are today a Nation blessed by God, because we have these great Nations which bring only Well-being to our People; that Great Nation, the People’s Republic of China, which is now the greatest commercial power, which is indeed a Power, in fact the greatest World Power.
We thank them for their willingness to cooperate with Nicaragua, and we are sure that with these Brothers and Sisters, because we are Brothers and Sisters, Fraternal Peoples of Nicaragua, in the end we are going to be able to remove from the Frente Sandinista’s Anthem, the words “Fight on, Fight on, Fight on, to Win, Win, Win” because we will no longer have to engage in war, because there will be Peace in our Land and there will be Peace in the World.
Long live the Solidarity inspired Cooperation of the People’s Republic of China!
The People’s Republic of China was the one that carried out the most gigantic Revolution there has ever been in the World; the Soviet Union also, but of course, the People’s Republic of China given its size, the number of its Peoples, of the Regions that they had, it was no easy task to make the Revolution there so as to be able to unite all that Great Power, but Mao Tse Tung achieved it, he was the genius that managed to unite the People’s Republic of China.
And also to President Putin all our thanks, all our Affection, all our Solidarity. We are Brothers, yes, we are Brothers, President Putin, President Xi Jinping of China, and we Nicaraguans, we are Fraternal Peoples and we are going to win Peace.

Muy buenas noches, Compañer@s. Cuál és la Fuerza que nos mueve ? Este Pueblo Grande, Grandioso, Heroico ! Cuál és la Fuerza que nos mueve ? Es el Amor ! Es por Amor a nuestra Nicaragua Bendita, a nuestros Hijos, a nuestras
Familias, por Amor Patrio que venimos luchando, desde un Espíritu Digno, supremamente Digno… Amor que és Dignidad, Amor que és Respeto, Amor que és Derechos, Amor que és Soberanía Nacional !
Cuando nuestro Comandante Daniel habla de cómo nuestro Pueblo ha librado todas las Batallas a lo largo de la Historia y ha venido derrotando a los Colonialistas y a los Imperialistas de la Tierra, y cuando habla de esa dimensión del egoísmo humano, o la Guerra, o la Paz, yo recordaba conversaciones con el Compañero Camilo, el Comandante Camilo, fanático de esa Obra, incluso hubo una película que creo que duró casi 8 o 9 horas, “La Guerra y la Paz”.
Nosotros siempre hemos optado por la Paz y hemos tenido que combatir, con todo ese Espíritu de ese Fuego Sagrado que anima nuestros Corazones y nuestras Almas, por la Paz; combatir desde un profundo sentimiento de Orgullo Nacional también… Orgullosos de ser como somos. Orgullosos de defender los Principios y los Valores que nos hacen Humanidad. Orgullosos de venir creciendo en esa Dimensión Espiritual profunda, que tenemos y que nos hace ser capaces de enfrentar todos los Desafíos, todos los Retos, todas las Batallas, seguros de las Victorias.
Hermoso e intenso recorrido que hizo el Comandante Daniel, nuestros Tiempos, los que vivimos, los que no vivimos pero vivimos, porque heredamos ese Ardor Patrio. Nuestros Tiempos !
Cuántos Compañer@s, cuánta siembra de semillas que germinan y fructifican ? Centenares de miles de nicaragüenses que hemos dado la Vida por Amor, y precisamente para que tengamos Vida Verdadera, Vida en Luz y Verdad, Vida con Dignidad, y Vida con Bienestar. Eso és lo que nos ocupa ahora.
Y las Luchas y las Batallas de hoy son contra la Pobreza, porque tenemos que avanzar para que tod@s tengamos Bienestar; que las Familias nicaragüenses nos sintamos bendecidas, no sólo por el Alma Grande que tenemos, o por nuestra Fé, nuestra Fortaleza, nuestros Valores, sino también porque estemos viviendo mejor, porque tengamos todo lo que merecemos : Educación, Salud, Calles, Caminos, Carreteras, Puentes, Viviendas… Todos esos Programas que son elocuentes en cuanto a lo que és el Propósito y el Camino de esta Revolución del Amor : Que tengamos tod@s Bienestar en nuestras Vidas.
Y sabemos que tenemos Futuro, y sabemos que estamos hermanados en la Lucha por la Paz en el Mundo, y cuando el Comandante Daniel nos habla de cómo este Pueblo pequeño, y grande de Alma, de Intenciones, de Propósitos, de Coraje y de Acciones, tiene tantos Hermanos y Amigos en el Mundo.
Ha tenido los apoyos en el Pasado, de la Unión Soviética, ahora los apoyos de un Mundo que cambia, porque opta por la Paz, en medio de las feroces egolatrías del Capitalismo que tendrá que decaer. Porque el Mundo quiere Paz, el Mundo tiene Derecho a vivir en Paz. No puede haber más guerras. Estamos frente al desafío histórico de construir la Paz en todas partes, y la Paz con Bienestar y Derechos para los Pueblos.
Tenemos grandes Amigos, grandes Apoyos, siempre hemos tenido Hermanos, Apoyo, Solidaridad. Ahora nos sentimos acuerpados, acompañados por las Potencias de este Mundo, y siempre luchando contra el Yankee, Enemigo de la Humanidad. Pero bueno, esas Batallas deben librarse y hoy las libramos con más sentido común, que quiere decir Comunidad, que quiere decir sentido del Propósito que tenemos, como Familia, como Comunidad Humana, que és crear las condiciones para que la Vida fructifique y florezca como debe ser, en todas partes.
Queremos saludar a todos los Familiares de nuestr@s Compañer@s de la Fuerza Aérea de Nicaragua, Heroica Fuerza Aérea. Cómo se gestó, ya el Comandante contaba, la simiente de la Fuerza Aérea ? Es que nosotros, en el fragor de los combates, nos hicimos Fuertes, y la ingeniosidad, el ingenio, la creatividad, fue forjando estos Caminos de Victorias, esos Caminos de Victorias, ayer, hoy, y Dios Mediante siempre.
Caminos de Victorias, porque nuestra Lucha és una Lucha por la Paz, por la Dignidad, por la Soberanía, por el Amor, por el Bienestar, por la Vida Buena, para nuestros Pueblos, nuestras Familias y Comunidades.
Un abrazo a todos los Familiares también de quienes han ofrendado su Vida a lo largo de estos años, desde la Fuerza Aérea sirviendo a nuestro Pueblo. Y en estos días que vienen, que vamos a estar conmemorando otras fechas de nuestro Ejército, de nuestra Policía, nos saludamos desde ya tod@s, sabiendo que estamos junt@s, que Vamos Adelante, que la Unión hace la Fuerza, que somos un Pueblo Fuerte, de Grandes Fortalezas y de Grandes Propósitos, y un Pueblo que merece la Gloria y las Victorias !

A very good evening, Compañeras and Compañeros. What is this Force that moves us? This Great, Noble, Heroic People! What is the force that moves us? It is Love! Love for our Blessed Nicaragua, for our Children, for our Families, the Patriotic Love out of which we strive, a Dignified Spirit, supremely Dignified… Love that is Dignity, Love that is Respect, Love that is Rights, Love that is our National Sovereignty!
When our Comandante Daniel discussed how our People have fought all these Battles throughout History and have defeated the Colonialists and the Imperialists of the Earth, and when he talks about the dimension of human selfishness, between War and Peace, I remembered conversations with Compañero Camilo, Comandante Camilo, who was a fan of that Novel, there was even a movie which I think lasted almost 8 or 9 hours «War and Peace».
We have always opted for Peace but we have had to fight for it, with all the Spirit of that Sacred Fire that animates our Hearts and our Souls, for Peace; to fight for it from a deep feeling of National Pride as well… Proud at being the way we are. We are proud to defend the Principles and Values that make our Humanity. Proud to be growing in that deep Spiritual Dimension, which we have and which makes us capable of facing all Challenges, every Challenge, every Battle, confident of Victory.
A beautiful and intense journey Comandante Daniel made, exploring our Times, those of us who live through them, those of us who may not have lived those times but do live them, because we have inherited that Patriotic Ardor. They are Our Times!
So many Compañeras and Compañeros, so many seeds sown that germinate and bear fruit. Hundreds of thousands of Nicaraguans who have given their Lives out of Love, precisely so that we may have True Life, Life in Light and Truth, Life with Dignity, Life with Well-being. That’s what we are working out now.
Today’s Struggles and Battles are against Poverty, because we must move onward so that everyone has Well-being; so that Nicaragua’s Families feel blessed, not only for the Great Soul that we have, or for our Faith, our Strength, our Values, but also because we are indeed living better, because we have all that we deserve: Education, Health, Streets, Roads, Highways, Bridges, Housing… All those Programs that so eloquently express the Purpose and the Path of this Revolution of Love: That we all have Well-being in our Lives.
We know that we have a Future, and we know that we have sisters and brothers in the Struggle for Peace in the World, and Comandante Daniel has told us how this small People, so big of Soul, of Intentions, of Purposes, of Courage and of Actions, has many Brothers and Sisters and Friends in the World.
We have had the support in the past, of the Soviet Union, and now we have the support of a changing World, because it chooses Peace, despite the fierce narcissists of a Capitalism that is bound to decay. Because the World wants Peace, the World has the Right to live in Peace. There can be no more Wars. We face the historic challenge of building Peace everywhere, Peace with Well-being and Rights for the world’s Peoples.
We have great Friends, great Support, we have always had Brothers and Sisters offering Support and Solidarity. Now we indeed feel supported and accompanied by the great Powers of this World, always fighting against the Yankee, Enemy of Humanity. And really, those Battles must be fought, so today we are fighting them with more sense of a common purpose, which means Community, which means a sense of that Purpose we have, as a Family, as a Human Community, which is to create the conditions for Life to bear fruit and flourish as it should do, everywhere.
We want to greet all the families of our Compañeros and Compañeras of the Nicaraguan Air Force, our Heroic Air Force. How was the seed of the Air Force conceived, as the Comandante explained just now? It was because, in the heat of the fighting, we became Strong, through ingenuity, imagination, creativity, forging Paths of Victories, these Paths of Victories, yesterday, today, and always, God Willing.
Paths of Victories, because our Struggle is a Struggle for Peace, for Dignity, for Sovereignty, for Love, for Well-being, for a Good Life for our Peoples, our Families and Communities.
A warm embrace to all the families also of those who have given their lives over all these years, of the Air Force serving our People. And in these coming days, when we are going to be commemorating other anniversaries of our Army, of our Police, we greet each other now, knowing that we are together, that We are Going Onward, that Unity makes Strength, and that we are a Strong People, of Great Fortitude and Great Purposes, a People that deserves Glory and Victories!
Thank you, Compañeras and Compañeros, warm embraces to all Nicaragua’s Families. Let Us Go Onward! And since we are at the gates of August, we wish you a Month of August full of Festivities, of Joy; not only for the Traditional Holidays, but also the Commemorative Celebrations, the Anniversary of Youth, the Formation of Youth, the Literacy Crusade, so many Memorable Moments, Memorable Events, and We Continue To Build the Future!
